Bachelor
of Science in Nursing
The faculty of the Louisiana State University Health
Sciences Center offers a four-year program of study
leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. This program
of study is fully accredited by the Commission
on Collegiate Nursing Education and is approved by the Louisiana State
Board of Nursing. Upon
graduation, a student is eligible to write NCLEX-RN
the examination for licensure for a registered nurse (R.N.).
A student may attend any accredited college or university
to fulfill the required pre-nursing courses. During the time the student
is enrolled in the pre-nursing courses, a separate application for admission
must be submitted to the Office of Student Affairs
