Legal Nurse Consultant
The updated Legal Nurse Consultant program is designed for RNs who want to gain knowledge on the varied aspects of the Legal Nurse Consultant's role. Some topics covered will include business, marketing, ethics, basic research, report writing, administrative law, litigation, trial preparation, and health law (medical malpractice). This program consists of 5 modules presented by Tonia Aiken, RN, JD.
The program will require a commitment to complete 5 classes and an 18-hour preceptorship. There will be optional homework assignments throughout the series but the final assignment demonstrating mastery of the content will be required for completion of the course. The final assignment is an 18-hour practicum during which you will be assigned a preceptor and you will perform the work required of a LNC.
