Dear Colleague:

Thank you for expressing an interest in LSUHSC School of Nursing’s Legal Nurse Consultant offering.  Enclosed is an application form as well as additional information on the program. A brief description of the course, titles of the ten modules and the dates are identified.  Also included are the policies for the LNC program regarding registration and refunds.  The program will require a commitment to complete 10 modules.  There will be optional homework assignments throughout the series but the final assignment demonstrating mastery of the content will be required for completion of the course.  The final assignment is an 18-hour practicum during which you will be assigned a preceptor and you will perform the work required of a LNC.

The cost of the LNC program is $3,750.  To assist you in this effort,   Campus Federal Credit Union is offering a continuing education loan package.  You may call the Credit Union representative, Brian Ainsworth, at his toll free number 1-888-388-8841 ext. 4887 or fax 1-225-408-4894 for more information on this loan package or contact him through the web site www.campusfederal.org.

If you would like to register for the course, please complete the application indicating the class you wish to attend and enclose a $300 check as deposit. (Make check payable to LSUHSC School of Nursing).  The deposit is due four to six weeks before the first class.  To receive the early registration discount payment in full must be received / postmarked at least two weeks before class begins.  A brief resume indicating your educational background and work experience is requested from each participant.  This is helpful in planning the class based on the background of the participants.
