Title: Delivering Culturally Sensitive Care for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Patients

Speaker: Jessica Landry, DNP, FNP-BC

Activity Description/Objective: This class is designed to increase the knowledge and cultural awareness of providers caring for LGBT patients across the lifespan. The class will provide an interactive learning environment for lecture, discussion and group activities to prepare caregivers to be more aware of LGBT culture in order to respectfully care for patients.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses who care for patients in any setting


Participants will earn 3.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education.

Louisiana State University HSC School of Nursing, Faculty Development Continuing Nursing Ed & Entrepreneurial Enterprise is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
