Sigma Theta Tau International

Epsilon Nu Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing was granted to the School of Nursing on November 6, 1981. The society was organized in 1922, and has member chapters worldwide located in institutions of higher learning. A professional honor society, Sigma Theta Tau International has as its purposes: To recognize superior achievement, to recognize the development of leadership qualities, to foster high professional standards, to encourage creative work, and to strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession. Eligible for membership are junior and senior baccalaureate students, graduate students and community nurse leaders with baccalaureate degrees. Most members are nurses practicing in health care institutions.
