Bio

As a Louisiana native, Mr. Price received his Associate of Science in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College, New Orleans, LA. Immediately following graduation, he began his career in Neonatology at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston, TX. Later he moved to Texas Children’s Hospital where he worked as a Neonatal Nurse and a High Risk Delivery Transport Nurse. He received his Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and shortly thereafter moved into Maternal Child Leadership. He has worked in both inpatient and ambulatory settings as a Nursing Leader. He relocated back to New Orleans a little over 5 years ago to lead the rebuilding of the Neonatal and Maternal Fetal Medicine Program with LCMC Health. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student at LSUHC School of Nursing with a concentration in Health Literacy and Antenatal/Postpartum Care. Prior to his nursing career, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications from University of Louisiana Monroe and worked in Hospital Administration prior to returning to Nursing School.  Mr. Price’s research interest include Maternal Health and Neonatology and he is passionate about impacting Maternal Health in Louisiana. He is an active member of The Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and The National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN).
