- Personal Statement. Dr. Schaubhut has academic teaching experience since May of 2007 and has held the Assistant Dean position since July of 2008 at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing (SON). In this leadership position she has accomplished the following: development of a Clinical Handbook for RN to BSN students and for N4379 and N4369 clinical courses; reviewed the SON Faculty Handbook and Student Handbook; developed of SON policies; coordinated the Clinical Affiliation and Nurse Executive Advisory Council Meetings and liaison activities; developed the SON Dashboard, developed and implemented Outstanding RN to BSN Community Student Award with Early Childhood and Family Learning Foundation; developed of the Nurse Executive survey; performs of Clinical Agency site visits; submits of clinical agency requests to all undergraduate clinical agencies for each semester; represents the SON at clinical agency consortiums and update meetings and Magnet Status site visits; collaborated in the development of curriculum changes for the RN to BSN Program; attends recruitment fairs for the RN to BSN and graduate nursing programs; negotiates and manages SON clinical affiliation contracts; collaborated in the development of the SON Strategic Map with the Administrative Team and collaborated in the preparation for CCNE School of Nursing accreditation site visits; develops Louisiana State Board of Nursing and other annual reports. In addition to the above duties, Dr. Schaubhut teaches a full faculty teaching load in the undergraduate (BSN, CARE and RN to BSN) and graduate (MN and DNP) nursing programs.

July 2011-2014 HRSA Nurse Education, Practice and Retention Grants (NEPQR) P4 Cornerstone of Cultural Competency during the Disaster Cycle (C DC) Program: Educating Nurses to Provide Culturally Competent Care during Disasters. Funded for $732, 669-3 years (Train-the-Trainer Coordinator).
