The Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs at Louisiana State University Health – New Orleans, School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.

The Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (10275 W. Higgins Rd., Suite 906, Rosemont, Illinois 60018-5603, phone: 224-275-9130) a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs are recognized as accreditation agencies by the U.S. Department of Education. The School of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education until 2029 and the Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs until 2023. The School of Nursing is also approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

The Nurse-Midwifery Concentration is preaccredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME), 8403 Colesville Road, Suite 1550, Silver Spring, MD 20190, www.midwife.org/acme. ACME is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The program had its onsite review by ACME in MM, 2022. The program was awarded preaccreditation status until MM, 2027. Graduates from a program that had preaccreditation status at the time of their admission are eligible to take the national certification exam and become a certified nurse-midwife.
