Controls and Disposable Connector

The lower portion of the Alaris® EtCO2 module contains the following keys:

• Channel Select brings the Alaris® EtCO2 module to the main screen on the Alaris® PC point-of-care unit and starts monitoring.
• To start monitoring without bringing the Alaris® EtCO2 module to the main screen, press the Monitor key.
• Channel Off turns the module off and powers down the system if no other modules are attached.

The Microstream® Disposable Connector includes a door (protective cover) that rotates, exposing the gas inlet and gas exhaust (for connecting a gas scavenging system in the presence of high oxygen or anesthesia concentrations).
