Responding to a NEOI Alert

The Near End of Infusion (NEOI) alert is an optional configuration that sounds when syringe volume reaches 5% to 25% of volume remaining. When this occurs:

• The Main Display alternates between NEAR END and remaining VTBI.
• NEAR END scrolls in the Channel Message Display.
• The green and yellow indicators illuminate.
• An audio prompt sounds. To silence the audio, press the Silence button.

During this time, the Alaris® PCA module continues to operate normally and will not alarm again until Syringe Empty Alarm has been reached.
