Alaris® PC point-of-care unit Controls and Indicators

When the system is powered on, the Main Display enables you to program and view continuous information about the status of all attached modules, also referred to as channels. The view on the right, showing the status of the attached channels, remains visible when you are not performing other tasks. It is, therefore, called the Main Screen.

In addition to the the Main Display, the Alaris® PC point-of-care unit contains two types of keys that you use to program the system:

  • Soft keys, located immediately adjacent to the Main Display, enable you to select options or programming parameters. Their functions change depending on what appears on the Main Display.

  • Hard keys, such as SYSTEM ON, are clearly labeled with their functions, which do not change with the Main Display.
