Attaching and Detaching Modules

Up to four modules or channels, plus the Alaris® Auto-ID module, can be attached to either side of the Alaris® PC point-of-care unit or to either side of another module.

To attach a channel:

1. Position the free module at a 45 degree angle, making sure to align the IUI connectors at the top.
2. Rotate the free module down against the Alaris® PC point-of-care unit or attached module, until the bottom latch snaps in place.

Warning: When properly secured/snapped, the bottom latch provides a very secure connection between modules. If not properly latched, a module can be dislodged during operation.

Modules may not latch properly if adhesive tape or other materials are attached to the sides.
