Programming a Continuous Infusion with No Guardrails® Suite MX Protection

It is only necessary to program this type of infusion when the drug to be infused is not included in the current version of your Guardrails® drugs list.

When using a drug not in the Guardrails® drugs list, the drug calculation must still be set up through the Guardrails® drugs option on the Infusion Menu.

Caution: There are no Guardrails® Suite MX limits or alerts for continuous infusions using drug calculations.
