Programming a Bolus Dose with No Guardrails® Suite MX Protection

To set up a bolus dose using a drug calculation, you must take the same initial steps you would to program a continuous infusion with no Guardrails® Suite MX protection. Then press the BOLUS soft key and take the following steps to finish programming your bolus dose:

  1. Enter the bolus DOSE using the numeric keys.
  2. On the right-hand side of the display, press the soft key for the appropriate unit of measure for the dose.
  3. Enter the bolus DURATION using the numeric keys.
  4. Verify that the parameters are correct and press the START soft key.
