Device Priming - Priming Set With a Pressure Sensing Disc

You can prime the administration set manually, or you can prime it with the Alaris® Syringe module. After the syringe and infusion type have been selected, the device priming feature becomes available. To do this with a pressure sensing disc:

1. Ensure administration set is not connected to patient and that device is as close to level of patient as possible (patient should be in line with CHANNEL SELECT key on Alaris® Syringe module).

2. Load syringe into device and select syringe and infusion type

3. Press OPTIONS soft key.

4. Press Prime Set with Syringe soft key.

5. Hold pressure sensing disc between two fingers and invert disc so patient side is up.
