Bio

Dr. Manning is a three-time graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing (LSUHSC SON) (BSN - 2000, MSN - 2007, and DNS - 2014). Dr. Manning began her nursing career as a critical care nurse at East Jefferson General Hospital (EJGH). She began her academic career as a critical care faculty in 2008. In 2013, she accepted a position as the RN to BSN Articulation Program director, and in 2015 began her position as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Nursing Programs. In 2008, she obtained board certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and in 2014 completed her CNE certification.

Dr. Manning served as president of the Epsilon Nu chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor society from 2013-2015. She was appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Nursing in 2018 for a four-year appointment. In 2021, she was elected to the board for the National Association for Clinical Nurse Specialists.

In 2019, she accepted a position as a part-time nurse researcher at EJGH. Her research interests include nurse work environments, leadership, and best practices in nursing education.
