Jamie Wiggins is Senior Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans and Adjunct Faculty at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans School of Nursing. Mr. Wiggins received his Associate Degree from Pitt Community College, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San Francisco, and his Masters of Science Degree from the University of California – San Francisco with the completion of the Nursing and Health Systems Leadership Program. Mr. Wiggins is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Science program at LSUHNO School of Nursing and plans to investigate nurse engagement impact on pediatric acute care outcomes.

Mr. Wiggins is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, maintains CCRN-K certification with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Nurse Executive Advanced – Board Certification with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Mr. Wiggins was a member of the Professional Development Council for the Minnesota Organization of Nurse Leaders, Vocational and Technical Education Advisory Board member for Broward County Schools, and Board of Directors member for the Nursing Consortium of South Florida.

Mr. Wiggins has spent his entire professional career in pediatric, neonatal and critical care transport settings. Leadership positions include: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Transport Services Manager at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, Senior Director – Clinical Services at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, Administrative Director Inpatient Services at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and SVP/Chief Nursing Officer at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans since January 2017.
