Bio
Mrs. Reed graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with her BSN in 2013. Her career has led her into medical-surgical nursing, outpatient surgery, and nursing education before taking a full-time position as a nursing faculty member at LSUHSC School of Nursing where she teaches Adult Health. She completed her MSN at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017 in the Nurse Educator specialty track.
She serves as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and she is currently a volunteer item writer for NCLEX-PN™. She also developed a Licensed Practical Nursing Program at a local college in the greater New Orleans area. Her research interests in nursing leadership, undergraduate nursing education, and medical-surgical nursing practice. She believes that nursing is one of her greatest passions.
Prior to nursing, Mrs. Reed worked as a dance instructor in her hometown of Opelika, AL where she taught children ages 3-18in recreational and competitive dancing.
