Dr. Liv Dinoso has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, Alabama.  She has also obtained from USA a Master of Science in Nursing in Public Health Administration, a post-master’s certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  Her first degree was a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a member of AANP and Sigma Theta Tau International.

Dr. Dinoso began her career as a nurse in medical-surgical nursing then transitioned to the emergency department.  From there, she became a clinical nurse educator coordinator for over 165 clinics within a large health system until finally becoming a nurse practitioner and serving in an internal medicine clinic.  At LSUHSC, she will be joining the Adult Health Nursing team and helping to teach Adult Health Nursing Theory, Practicum and Simulation. She is currently published in the area of Human Genetics, and her research interests include hypertension, patient treatment compliance, and health literacy.
