Bio

Dr. Liv Dinoso has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), a post-Masters certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Public Health Administration from the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, Alabama.  Also, she is an LSU alumni having obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Currently, she is currently in a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post-masters certificate program and is due to graduate next year.

Dr. Dinoso is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a certified nurse educator (CNE) with the National League of Nursing.  

Dr. Dinoso began her career as a nurse in medical-surgical nursing then transitioned to the emergency department.  From there, she became a clinical nurse educator coordinator for over 165 clinics for Ochsner Health system until becoming a nurse practitioner and serving in an internal medicine clinic.  

She is currently published in the area of Human Genetics, and her research interests include active learning stategies in teaching, promoting diversity in nursing education, and generational differences in education.

Awards include the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty in May 2021 and the Great 100 Nurses in Louisiana in 2019.
