Activity Description/Outcome: This interactive learning activity will provide nurses with the knowledge and skills to care for the complex healthcare needs of individuals from vulnerable populations. The participant will be able to identify the physical, psychological, and socioeconomic risk factors that contribute to adverse health outcomes and health disparities for various vulnerable populations. They will develop a greater understanding of the nurse’s role and develop strategies to reduce health disparities and improving health outcomes for individuals from vulnerable populations.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses who care for patients in any setting

Participants will earn 3.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education.
