Activity Description/Outcome: Trauma patients are often viewed as a challenge to health care providers. They can be complex and difficult to manage, and never present the same. One way to lessen these challenges is through education and experience. This interactive course will provide an overview of the different aspects of trauma care. It will review the basics of trauma management, as well as provide an in-depth overview of trauma care using the most current evidence-based approaches. Several topics will be reviewed including nursing assessment, skills and techniques in the care, treatment and management of trauma patients.

Target Audience: Registered Nurses

Participants will earn 3.0 contact hours of continuing nursing education.
