Jennifer Badeaux, CRNA, DNP
Instructor of Nurse Anesthesia
Jennifer Badeaux is the Assistant Program Director of the Nurse Anesthesia program at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Nursing specializing in anesthesia from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Christian University.
Dr. Badeaux is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She currently serves as the course coordinator for NURS 7420 Nurse Anesthesia Practicum I, NURS 7421 Nurse Anesthesia Practicum II, and NURS 7422 Nurse Anesthesia Practicum III. She is a lecturer in NURS 7426 Nurse Anesthesia Practicum VII and a guest lecturer in NURS 4363 Perioperative Nursing. Dr. Badeaux serves as an advisor to students in the Nurse Anesthesia program and mentors nurse anesthesia students in the development of their Scholarly Capstone Projects.
Dr. Badeaux has experience in all types of anesthesia (GETA, TIVA, MAC, Regional blocks, trauma, heart, lungs, neuro, OB, general plastics, OB/GYN, ENT, and dental) and currently serves as a clinical instructor to anesthesia students. Her research interests and publication areas include the management of perioperative patients, cultural competence for nurse anesthetists, error reduction in medication administration, and interventional pain management. She was honored as one of the Great 100 Nurses in Louisiana in 2012.
