Sigma Theta Tau International Epsilon Nu Chapter/Sister Henrietta Guyot Award Announcement
Each year the Epsilon Nu Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society (STTI) administers the Sister Henrietta Research Guyot Award to facilitate the advancement of nursing science and scholarship. Sister Henrietta Guyot was the Director of the Department of Nursing, Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Medicine from 1937-1965. More about Sister Henrietta Guyot and her work is available in the John P. Ische' Health Science Library on the LSU-New Orleans campus. A portrait of Sister Henrietta is on display in the Dean of LSU-New Orleans School of Nursing suite.
This $2500 grant is awarded based on the quality of the proposed research study. Only Epsilon Nu Members are invited to submit applications. Board members may not apply. The proposed study must be completed within one year of the award. The awardee will be required to give a formal presentation on the study findings at the Dr. Linda Corson Jones Scholarship in 2020.
