Louisiana Association of Student Nurses (LASN) Convention

This past weekend, the LSUHSC Student Nurses Association (SNA) proudly represented LSUHSC School of Nursing at the 61st Annual Louisiana Association of Student Nurses (LASN) convention in New Orleans. The following students represented the school:

Ellyn Baker, Melanie Burkhardt, Brie Dyess, Jaquetta Fortuné, Christina Grishman, Madeline Hayes, Elena Johns, Susan Knecht, Nicole LeCoq, Ana McReynolds, Megan Meyer, Megan Murray, Mitrell Osirio, Cassidy Pocorello, Sofia Russo, Yesenia Sanchez, Katie Talazac, Danyale Taylor, Kristen Woltering, Megan Herrle, Katelyn Freyou, and Gabrielle Miller.

The LSUHSC SNA received several awards for their hard work over the past year. The awards included:

• 1st Place: Image of Nursing Project
• Largest Number of Community Service Projects
• Best Overall Project not related to Health Promotion
• Most Delivering Hope Nola Items
• Best Scrapbook Representation of Student Nurses' Association Activities
