On March 4th, 2018, the LSU Nursing Alumni Association sponsored the "4th Annual Mudbug
March to Stomp Out Pulmonary Hypertension". |

On Sunday, June 4th the School of Nursing Alumni Association held its annual meeting/lunch
at Café Adelaide. The theme of the day was “New Orleans Summer Social Derby” and everyone
wore “derby” hats to celebrate the day. Each year the Alumni Association selects an
Alumni Member to the covenant title Alumnus of the Year. This year's recipient was
Dr. Jenna Martin, DNP, CRNA who is an instructor of nursing in the nurse anesthesia
program at LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing. Thanks to all who came out to
support the Alumni Association. |

On March 5th, 2017, the LSU Nursing Alumni Association sponsored the "3rd Annual Mudbug
March to Stomp Out Pulmonary Hypertension". The day began with the Disco Amigos warming
up the participants to disco hits from the 70's. The participants then completed a
1 mile walk. A silent auction was also held. The day was very successful as we were
able to raise awareness for pulmonary hypertension and money to expand medical research
in hopes of finding a cure. |

The first weekend of June, the LSUHSC School of Nursing hosted 2 events. On Saturday,
June 4th alumni were invited back to campus to see where the School of Nursing has
been and where we are going. Alumni were treated to mimosas as they toured the school
and were able to watch Baccalaureate students participate in a simulation experience.
