Authorized User Mode
Authorized User Mode is a feature designed to ensure that only clinicians
with a
bar code on their ID badge can program the Alaris® System.
When this feature is enabled, the system will automatically
enter tamper resist mode upon power on and five minutes after completion
of programming the system. In
order to unlock the keypad the user must scan their ID badge.
- To start, perform the steps to associate the Alaris® System
with the patient.
- Press the SCAN/CANCEL key on the Alaris® Auto-ID module
and scan your ID badge to disable tamper resist mode.
- Proceed with infusion programming.
