Using the SmartSite® needle-free valve

3. Apply Clamp

In accordance with INS positive pressure flushing standards, apply clamp before disconnecting syringe to help prevent any reflux in the catheter lumen.

4. Disconnect Syringe

Remove the syringe from the SmartSite® needle-free valve by turning counterclockwise.

Note: The SmartSite® needle-free valve automatically reseals itself to maintain a closed system.
