Building a Behavioral Health Workforce through Integrated Care:
Training Nurse Practitioner Student to Fill the Gap:
Qualified students enrolled in their third year in the Psychiatric Mental Health DNP program may be eligible to receive a stipend offered through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant fund (press release). The stipend covers general living expenses and does NOT include tuition fees or any relevant educational expenses.
Qualified full time students (completing third year of PHMNP program within 12 months) will receive to $28,352. Qualified part time students (completing third year of PHMNP program in greater than 12 months) will receive $14,176.
Stipends will be provided based on the available funds and the number of eligible students applying each year.
PMHNP DNP students interested in the opportunity must notify their Faculty Course Coordinator about their interest in the opportunity. Please note that applicants must agree to complete the internship at one community organization during the third year.
