To decrease potential start up delays in the delivery of medication, it is recommended that the instrument be primed using the Prime Set with Syringe feature. If you already primed the set with the device, this step is not necessary.

If you manually primed the set, follow the steps for device priming, with or without a pressure sensing disc, as described earlier in this topic, except for the following:

Since priming is already complete, you should release the PRIME soft key when a drop of fluid drips out of the distal end of the tubing.
