Accreditation

The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Nursing programs are approved by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The Nurse Anesthesia Program is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) (222 South Prospect Avenue, Park Ridge, Illinois 60068-4001, phone: 847-655-1160) a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. The program had its onsite review by the COA in October 2012. The program was awarded the maximum ten year accreditation until May 2023.
