Mission

Our mission is to develop leadership and excellence in nurse-midwifery education, practice, scholarship, and public service. The LSUHSC School of Nursing Nurse-Midwifery Program prepares nurse-midwives at the doctoral level in nursing and midwifery to provide evidence-based health care to individuals, families, and communities, to address health disparities at the local, national, and global level, and to contribute to the profession of nurse-midwifery through service, scholarship, practice, and advocacy.
