Nurse Midwife

Curriculum

The Nurse-Midwifery Program is preaccredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) to award a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Graduates of this preaccredited program meet the academic and clinical requirements to complete the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) Certification Exam. Once certified, graduates are eligible for advanced practice licensure in all fifty states and the District of Columbia.

Note: DNP Core Courses are held on Monday through Saturday a minimum of six (6) times during a semester. Students' practicum experiences may occur weekdays, weekends, including evening and night shifts.

Post-master’s DNP courses of study are subject to change based on review of transcripts.  Individualized part-time courses of study are available.

Verification of clinical hours and fundamental APRN "3 P's" courses is required upon admission. Students without verification of the 3Ps will have to add the following courses into their plan of study.
