Hall of Fame
The School of Nursing Hall of Fame recognizes alumni, faculty or student achievements that have made an enduring contribution to the nursing profession sustainable beyond their lifetime. Hall of Fame recipients will have demonstrated outstanding leadership that has impacted the health or welfare of Louisianans, other United States citizens or internationally through a sustained lifelong contribution to nursing practice, education, administration, service, or research.
Award Criteria
- Nominee achievements must have an enduring value to nursing beyond the nominees lifetime.
- Nominee must have demonstrated leadership that impacted the health or welfare of Louisiana, U.S. citizens or internationally through sustained lifelong contributions in or to nursing practice, education, administration or research.
- Nominee is a LSUHSC-SON alumni, faculty or student.
Selection process
The Hall of Fame recipient will be selected by at least a five (5) member panel appointed by the Dean that is composed of School of Nursing Administrative Council members, Faculty Organization members, and at least one community member. Final approval of the recipient is through a rigorous review process by all voting members of the School of Nursing Administrative Council. Those selected will be celebrated at the 90th Anniversary Gala Celebration on November 18th and the 90th Hall of Fame Brunch on November 19th, 2023.
